These terms explain the use of our Discord bot.About the serviceWorld Word Daily provides vocabulary posts, word lookups, quizzes, recaps and server appearance controls through Discord. These terms concern the bot. Discord's own terms and policies also apply to your Discord account and use of Discord.You must meet Discord's minimum age requirements in your country. Server administrators are responsible for choosing posting channels, schedules and custom profile content and for ensuring they have permission to use uploaded images. Do not use the bot to harass others, impersonate people deceptively, distribute unlawful content, spam servers or interfere with the service.Free and paid featuresOrdinary vocabulary lookups, personal quizzes and basic word-card styling are free. Server Premium is available through Discord at a base price of US$3.99 per month per server. Discord checkout shows the applicable local price, taxes, billing period and purchase conditions. A server subscription applies to the selected server, not every server belonging to its purchaser.New servers receive three free automated language places. Existing configured servers retain at least their number of configured language places at activation. Premium provides additional automated languages, custom server profile controls, scheduled quizzes and scheduled weekly recaps.Purchases, renewals, cancellation and eligible refund requests are handled through Discord under its applicable purchase terms. Review the checkout details before buying. Cancel through Discord's subscription settings. Benefits normally remain available through the entitlement period Discord reports, unless the purchase is refunded or otherwise revoked. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.After Premium access ends, extra language deliveries and paid quiz/recap schedules pause. The free language allowance continues. Saved settings and existing profile art are retained; new paid profile changes require renewed access. Administrators may disable schedules and reset the server profile without Premium.Availability and vocabularyThe service may be interrupted by maintenance, hosting issues or Discord outages. Vocabulary is provided for learning and may contain mistakes, regional differences or incomplete meanings. Dictionary references are included where available. Report suspected errors through support. Features may change; material changes to paid offerings should be explained before they take effect.Content and accessYou retain your rights in content you provide and permit its processing and display to carry out the requested customization. Dictionary and other third-party material remains subject to its respective rights and licenses. We may restrict misuse that threatens the service or violates these terms or Discord's rules. Administrators can stop using the bot by disabling its schedules or removing it from their server.Privacy and contactSee the World Word Daily Privacy Policy for information about data processing and requests. World Word Daily — Privacy PolicyLast updated: 15 September 2026.Scope and contactWorld Word Daily is operated by JesterDemi. This policy describes our Discord bot and website. Contact the operator through our support server. Ask for a private support conversation before sharing sensitive information.Information used by the botServer settings: Discord server and channel identifiers, selected languages, posting times, timezones, quiz/recap schedules and word-card appearance settings. These are used to deliver the features administrators configure.
Interactions: Discord provides command inputs, user identifiers and permission information. The bot uses these to respond, restrict administrative actions and keep private quizzes associated with the person who started them. Some responses display the requesting administrator's Discord name/avatar.
Quiz participation: Active quiz sessions temporarily hold the server identifier, the initiating user's identifier for a private quiz, the question and identifiers of users who have answered. These prevent duplicate answers. The implementation does not keep a persistent quiz-score history.
Word-post history: Successfully posted vocabulary, language, message identifier and posting time are recorded for server recaps. This history consists of the bot's word posts, not a collection of members' conversations.
Custom profiles: Names, bios and image attachments supplied by administrators are sent to Discord to change the bot's profile in that server. Images are downloaded temporarily for processing; the bot does not deliberately save a separate local image library. Discord stores the resulting profile and original attachments under its own policies.
Premium access: The bot queries Discord entitlements to check subscription eligibility. It stores the product identifier and protected free allowances for existing servers. Discord may return purchase-related identifiers and entitlement dates. The bot does not collect payment-card numbers through its commands.
Operational records: Hosting logs can include server identifiers, language/schedule information and technical error details. Backups may contain saved bot settings and history. Operational logs and backup copies are not covered by the short quiz/word-history retention periods below; contact support about removal of records held in those copies.RetentionConfiguration settings remain stored until changed or removed by an operator. Removing the bot from a server does not currently automatically erase every saved configuration. Contact support to request deletion of retained records.Word history is capped at 1,000 records per server. Records older than eight days are removed when the next successful word post is recorded; if recording stops entirely, old records may remain until recording resumes or an operator removes them.Quiz questions stop accepting answers after ten minutes. Expired sessions are cleared when a new quiz is created, and all sessions are lost when the bot process restarts. Expiry is therefore not an immediate timed deletion guarantee. Subscription checks use a short in-memory cache, normally no longer than 30 seconds and bounded by the reported entitlement expiry.Messages already sent to Discord and custom profiles are held by Discord separately from the bot's local data. Disabling a schedule does not delete earlier messages.Service providers and purposesDiscord processes interactions, profiles, messages, purchases and entitlements. PebbleHost hosts the bot and its saved files. The operator uses this information to provide configured features, maintain the service, enforce permissions and investigate support issues. The bot does not sell Discord API data, build advertising profiles or keep a database of members’ conversations. Website analytics is described separately below.Website and analyticsThe website is hosted by Carrd and loads fonts from Google Fonts. These providers receive connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, when your browser requests their resources. The website also uses Google Analytics to measure visits and page use. Google Analytics can use cookies and identifiers and process device, browser and usage information. This website analytics is separate from the bot’s quiz and server settings.You can control cookies through your browser and use Google’s available analytics opt-out tools. See Carrd’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy for those providers’ practices. Visiting Discord or Top.gg links takes you to services with their own privacy policies.Requests and choicesAdministrators can change or disable schedules and reset appearance settings through Discord commands. Users may contact support about access, correction or deletion of their information, or other privacy rights available under applicable law. The operator may need to verify control of the relevant account or server before acting. Payment and Discord-account requests may also need to be addressed directly to Discord.Do not submit passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information to the bot.
